Kanye West Denies 'SNL' Writers Permission To Mock Kim Kardashian; Rapper Wlll Perform On Season Finale

Few things seem to be off limits with Kanye West, but making fun of his wife pregnant wife Kim Kardashian on the season finale of Saturday Night Live appears to be one of them. West wlll appear on the season finale of Saturday Night Live as the musical performer, but has already expressed concerns about the show's writers making fun of Kardashian when he appears on the NBC program.

NBC has notoriously spoofed Kardashian in the past by portraying her as someone who whines and is self-absorbed. However, it doesn't seem that West wants to see that in person. The show's writers are trying to include another skit that makes fun of Kardashian for the finale, but he's reportedly unhappy about it.

"They have to tread lightly because Kanye hasn't been happy with all the flack Kim's been getting about her pregnancy weight gain," said an NBC insider to Radar Online. "It's definitely going to be a challenge - the writers don't want to piss off Kanye so they're prepared not to cross the line, but they will go as far as they can."

The writers of the show are reportedly pushing for a skit that portrays a pregnant Kardashian in an over-the-top manner, but West is reportedly not on board with the concept and trying to come up with a compromise. One idea that the rapper is reportedly on board with is including Kardashian in one of the skits that spoofs her.

"They've come up with a win-win scenario where Kim actually gets a cameo at the end of the skit. That would probably make everyone in Kanye's camp - and especially Kim - very happy," said the source.

It's still unclear exactly when Kardashian is expected to give birth, but most reports indicate that she is due sometime this summer. Since announcing her pregnancy, she's been the subject of numerous unflattering headlines about gaining weight during pregnancy, her attempts at trying to remain slim and how she has struggled to adapt to the changes in her body size.

The finale of season 38 of Saturday Night Live will air on May 18.
