KStarz in Focus: TVXQ

After months of topping music charts in Korea and Japan with their albums "Time" and "Catch Me," TVXQ has set their sights on topping television rankings as well. In this edition of KStarz In Focus, I'll be zeroing in on the events surrounding major Hallyu stars TVXQ starting from March 30th.

Besides showing their charismatic side on stage and in music videos, U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin were also exploring their possibilities of becoming permanent TV stars. Back in January Yunho landed his first major role on SBS's "Queen of Ambition" playing naïve romantic Baek Do-Hoon. Unfortunately for fans, the dramatic series' final episode aired on April 2nd. However, it finished with their highest rating ever. While Yunho has made fans cry, Changmin will be flexing his athletic skills with the premiere of his new variety show on KBS2, "Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education," alongside fellow MCs Kang Ho Dong and Lee Soo Geun.

While working on their television careers TVXQ has once again topped the Oricon music charts with their sixth Japanese album "Time", the album sold over 100,000 copies on the first day of its release and continued to stay on top selling over 200,000 copies by the end of March.

With another hit album to their collection, TVXQ announced their first world tour "TVXQ! Live World Tour Catch Me" after successfully completing shows in South Korea and Hong Kong. The duo headed to Beijing, China where 10,000 fans chanted their names while they performed 26 songs. TVXQ will be heading to Japan towards the end of April for the next portion of their world tour. So, until TVXQ performs in a city near you check out their highlights in this edition of KStarz In Focus.
