Taylor Swift Purchases $17 million Mansion In Rhode Island: SIngle Payment In Cash![VIDEO]
Taylor has purchased property on Rohde Island in cash for $17.75million with a single payment via wire transfer.
A few weeks ago, on April 15th, the young songstress was spotted touring a humongous Rhode Island mansion, known to the locals as the Harkness House.
The mansion was being sold for upwards of $20 million known as the
T-Swizzle has gone ahead and purchased the 5.23-acre, 11,000-square-foot property.
She managed to negotiate with sellers, paying less than the asking price, at $17.75 million, a $2.5 million savings!
Taylor is believed to have wired the funds over straight away to avoid delay in claiming the property.
In the lead up to her grand purchase she was rumored to be looking at houses in Connecticut too, but settled on Rhode Island property.
If she decides to spend time there, Taylor will be enjoying the oceanfront estate's 8 bedrooms, 700 feet of shoreline overlooking Block Island and Montauk Point. The summer home is equipped with a Pebble Tec outdoor pool, complete with a pool house and fitness center.
Swift bought a home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts last year, which allegedly was intended to keep her close to then-boyfriend Conor Kennedy. After their public split in September, which inspired her hit song "Never Get Back Together" she put the house up on the market and sold it last month pocketing one million dollars in profit.
Because the Massachusetts house was a house-flip we can't be sure if Ms. Swift plans on residing in the home or the purchase was just a real estate investment.
Taylor, whose earnings last year topped $57 million according to Forbes, could certainly afford to live in the home. Rumors swirled that movers already started moving her belongings into the mansion. We are skeptical thought. The lack of privacy that the home provides from paparazzi is a clue that she may not be moving her guitars in any time soon.
The country singer already owns a home in Beverly Hills, California and a penthouse duplex in Nashville, Tennessee, which she considers her main residence, which she is most comfortable in and where she creates most of her music.
