Katy Perry's Father Branded Her a "Devil Child" In Sermon; Dad Urges Congregation To "Pray For Her"[VIDEO]

Katy Perry's own preacher father has branded her a "devil child."

Keith Perry, frantic Jesus lover, urged his congregation to 'pray for Katy,' describing her as a 'devil child' who is in need of 'healing'.

He reportedly told his congregation in Sante Fe Springs, California "They ask how can I preach if I produce a girl who sang about kissing another girl? 
I was at a concert of Katy's where there were 20,000. I'm watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church. 
I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshiping the wrong thing."

Keith and wife Mary Perry are currently touring American churches as star speakers.

Katy has previous spoken about her relationship with her parents, admitting that while they don't agree with all her choices they do still love her.

"People love the idea of a good girl gone bad, thinking that my parents were so strict and disowned me but that actually wasn't the case," she said.

"Even though they don't necessarily agree with some of the things I do, they love me as their daughter. That's always been their perspective."

Singer Perry, 28, was married to comedian Russell Brand until their divorce last July. The divorce didn't help her father's devilish feelings about his daughter.  To make matters worse, Katy now dates Hollywood badboy John Mayer.  Her preacher father can o approve of her love life either.

After her father's public broadcast Katy showed her caring side as she attended the do to Delete Blood Cancer in New York last night.

She tweeted: "Just saw KINKY BOOTS on broadway & cried w/joy from its powerful, beautiful message. Congrats on every of its deserved 13 Tony nominations! AND if Billy Porter doesn't win the Tony for best actor in a musical... There will be words."
