Lindsay Vonn Without Tiger Woods, But Plan To Make First Red Carpet Appearance Together At Met Ball on Monday

Lindsay Vonn was without Tiger Woods at the recent Delete Blood Cancer Gala at Cipriani in New York City on April 1, but the famous pair, who first went public with their relationship on Facebook in March, to make their red carpet debut at the annual Met Ball costume gala this Monday in New York City, reports US Weekly.

On Wednesday this week, Tiger was conspicuously absent when Vonn appeared on the red carpet at the Delete Blood Cancer event held at New York City's Cipriani. When asked about his no-show, Vonn told reporters, "he's practicing," before tweeting out a gorgeous headshot from the event.

"Hair by Mario Mele and makeup by Mac Cosmetics artist Fatima T for the gala tonight. More info to come!"

Insiders say the once covert Olympic gold-medal winning skier and the world's number 1 ranked PGA golfer, will attend the star-studded Met event as guests of Vogue. The magazine will also reportedly be dressing the famous couple, but there's no word yet on what they'll wear.

The two will be in fine company, if not fine clothes, by joining celebrities, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, and Jennifer Lawrence.

The 37-year-old golfer and 27-year-old alpine skier confirmed to the media their blossoming relationship in a Facebook photo post that shocked many who were in the dark about their undercover dating.

"I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months, and it has made me very happy," she said after the announcement they were dating.

Both world class athletes were previously married, with Vonn divorcing fellow skier, Thomas Vonn, quietly in March of 2011, and Woods ending his very public divorce with his former Swedish nanny, Elin Nordegren, after she found out about his adulterous second life in a soap opera Thanksgiving day tirade in 2010.

Said Woods about his scandalous infidelity after going public with Vonn:

"Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become close and are now dating...We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple..."

A source told US at the time, "He confessed everything in his past to her. They're really into each other."

Look for the athletic twosome to have the flashbulbs popping as they grace the red carpet of the glitzy Met Ball on Monday.
