Dina Lohan Speaks On Lindsay Lohan's Rehab; Actress Checked In To Betty Ford Center In Rancho Mirage

As always, Dina Lohan has something to say about her daughter Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay checked in two days ago to the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA, and Dina says that Lindsay is now "happy" in the new facility.

Lindsay checked into the Betty Ford Center after a whirlwind 48 hours in which she bailed on attending a rehab center in the Hamptons, flew to a rehab center in California that wasn't approved by the judge in your case, failed to check in and nearly had a warrant issued for her arrest for violating the terms of her probation.

"A crazy 48 hours. A crazy five years! I am so relieved and thankful that Lindsay is getting the help she needs in a credible place," said Dina. "She actually wanted to go, whether the court said to or not. She is happy there, to get introspective and get back on the right track."

As per the plea deal Lindsay made in her probation violation case last March, Lindsay had 45 days to check into a rehab faciiity and stay there for three months. It was reported that Lindsay decided not to check into the Seafield Center in New York, which was pre-approved by the judge in her case, because they don't allow smoking at the facility. However, Dina denied that this was the reason. She claimed that her ex-husband Michael Lohan, a former patient at Seafield 20 years ago, was told he could not visit Lindsay during the stay.

However, Dina said she is pleased that Lindsay decided to check into the Betty Ford Center.

"She had just gotten word [that Morningside] wasn't approved by the court. She didn't want to unpack and then a few days later have to move," said Dina. "She felt it was best to get into a place that the court has approved and let her start her treatment. They are very protective of paparazzi and leaks and very professional. She just needs to heal peacefully and quietly."

When she completes her 90-day stint, Lindsay has reportedly been hired by entertainment website Celebuzz to blog about "lessons learned" during her rehab experience.
