Donald Trump Dubai Golf Course; After Scotland Problems, Trump Expands In Middle East [VIDEO]

Donald Trump announced he is expanding his empire to the Middle East, developing a golf course is Dubai. Trump has decided to expand in the Middle East after his project in Scotland terminated.

The huge 28 million square foot project in Dubai will include an 18-hole PGA Championship Golf Course, a luxury residential community, hotels, spas and international schools. Construction is already underway and the course will be ready for play next year.

The development will be on land that was intended to be the home "Dubailand," a project that included a $1 billion golfing estate for Tiger Woods that was ceased in the downturned economy. Trump's project is a symbol of Dubai's financial revival.

The golf pro shop will offer the latest clubs and apparel, and three high-end restaurants will be to five-star hotel standards, providing a fine-dining dinner, or refreshing lunch after a day on the course.

Trump is collaborating with DAMAC Properties, a private residential, leisure and commercial developer in Dubai and the Middle East.

"By collaborating with Donald Trump, we are bringing the most elite name in golf and international luxury real estate to Dubai," said Hussein Sajwani, Chairman of DAMAC Properties.

"This course will provide a unique challenge for golfers, while delivering the upmost luxury and refinement for which both DAMAC Properties and the Trump Organization have become renowned for," Sajwani said.

Donald added to his new partner's excitement saying "we are thrilled to be expanding our portfolio of award-winning courses into Dubai with DAMAC Properties. Dubai is an incredible city that truly understands the meaning of luxury. Trump International Golf Club, Dubai will be built to world-class levels, exceeding all expectations. There will be nothing like it in the region and beyond."

Donald's daughter, Ivanka Trump, whom is the Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions at the Trump Organization said "as with all of the courses we develop and manage, Trump International Golf Club, Dubai is being built to the highest standards of excellence and will become known as one of the world's finest courses."

"The combination of DAMAC Properties' local knowledge and expertise in the luxury market and our unrivalled experience with owning and operating a collection of the world's finest courses will result in a challenging golf course with stunning landscaping and superior quality," the Don's beautiful kin added.

The Trump Organization has 14 other golf courses around the world.  Most recently, his plans to expand into Scotland were halted by the countries's decision to build windfarms on Trumps potential land for his multifaceted project.

Trump's plans for Scotland initially involved building two golf courses, a multilevel home, and 15,000 homes in the area, but none have come to fruition aside from Trump International Golf Club Scotland.

Trump lashed out at Scotland by putting ads in local Scottish papers on the dangers of the windfarms to Scotland's landscape.

Britain's Advertising Standards Agency ruled that Trump's ad's claims were unsubstantiated and he was no longer allowed to put the manipulative advertisements in the papers.

The real estate mogul hopes that his mulit-billion dollar plans in Dubai run smoother than they did in Scotland.
