Kanye West Tells Kim Kardashian from Stage, "You're Awesome" At New York's Glitzy Met Gala

Kanye West provided one of the high points of last Monday night's glitzy Met Gala in New York City when he let his feelings for his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, spill in front of a huge crowd of dignitaries and celebrities.

According to a Vine video posted by model, Coco Rocha, West was performing a set of songs from his as-yet-untitled new album when he took a moment to announce, "Don't let nobody bring you down, you're so awesome, you're so awesome!"

Reports from the event indicated the comment was meant for Kardashian, pregnant with their child. Kardashian has been an ongoing subject of tabloid ridicule since the early days of her popular reality television show and the release of a sex tape she filmed of herself with rapper, Ray J in 2003.

According to MTV, West, who took the stage in a leather skirt, sparkly Givenchy top and studded, gauzy mask, can be seen performing what sounds like another new song with a uptempo, glitch techno vibe and a song in which he yells, "I am a god!"

Fans are still awaiting word for the new West album. He may have offered a clue last week when he tweeted, "June eighteenth," with no further explanation about whether it's the album's release date, Kim's due date or maybe a wedding announcement, MTV suggested.

Kardashian, the 32-year-old reality star who dressed her growing bump in a head-to-toe floral Givenchy frock by Riccardo Tisci, which included matching gloves and shoes, appeared to be having a great time at the star-studded affair.

She uploaded several photos to social media from the evening, one in particular of her man performing to reciprocate the love. The caption: "Baby you're AWESOME."

The reality star and her family have been receiving a barrage of criticism for trying to capitalize financially on every venture they have entered, including Kim's recent marriage and quick divorce from NBA player, Kris Humphrey, who accused his wife of using the marriage to get higher ratings for her show. The marriage lasted 72 days.
