‘Noragami’ Season 3 Release Date; The Latest Info On Release Dates Revealed!

"Noragami" is one of the most popular anime series of 2014 because of its unique storyline with very interesting plot points. The anime basically tells the story of Yato, a minor deity, who is forced to do menial tasks requested by the people willing to pay for his services. The twist according to My Anime List:

"Just as things seem to be looking grim for the god, his fortune changes when a middle school girl, Hiyori Iki, supposedly saves Yato from a car accident, taking the hit for him. Remarkably, she survives, but the event has caused her soul to become loose and hence able to leave her body.

Hiyori demands that Yato return her to normal, but upon learning that he needs a new partner to do so, reluctantly agrees to help him find one. And with Hiyori's help, Yato's luck may finally be turning around."

The sequel, "Noragami Aragoto" was released October last year with 13 episodes. The sequel series has expanded the world of Yato with more gods involved with Yato's whereabouts and activities. If the timeline is followed, it's possible that season 3 could be released late in 2016 or early 2017.

User Googleflax on Reddit provided a good explanation on the possibility of another season, "Noragami Aragoto ended around chapter 40ish and the manga currently has 62 chapters out, so technically there is enough source material for a third season, but anime producers tend to want a little more wiggle room and probably wouldn't want to start making an anime that would end where the source material currently ends."

When-will.net also provided an update that supports the speculation, "at the moment, the Bones studio is yet to renew or cancel the anime...Since the manga, on which the anime is based, is still being released, it's very possible that the studios will not stop at 12 episodes. In case that there is a continuation of the story, we will see in it in the winter of 2017."
