'Attack on Titan' Game PS4 US Release Date; Spring Release Leaked For US Version?

Popular animes are often adapted into video games and "Attack on Titan" is no different. For the unfamiliar, "Attack on Titan" is an extremely popular anime TV series worldwide because of its post apocalyptic description of humans trying to survive the attacks of giants or "Titans" since they eat humans with no hesitation.

According to Gamespot, "Attack on Titan" for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita are already available in Japan. Reviews of the game have been mostly positive especially on its mechanics. In a review by Forbes, "Overall, I really enjoyed playing Attack on Titan.

Being able to traverse the environment and fluidly take out giants felt great." The use of their 3D maneuver gear was also noted since it has become the primary weapon of the survey corps in order to take out titans. The titan's weak spot is in his navel (behind the head) which requires careful manipulation of the 3D maneuver gear in order to reach the titan's weak spot. 

Aside from the use of 3D maneuver gear, players can also choose to play as a Titan. Eren's titan form will be revealed during the game and players can take advantage of his size to win battles.

This is not the first movie for "Attack on Titan." Nintendo released Attack Titan: Humanity in change." Unfortunately, it only gained a measly 4.8 rating (out of 10) in Metacritic. Kotaku.com also reviewed the 3DS interpretation of the game,"' Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind is a mixed bag of a game. While it definitely succeeds in making you feel like a character in the anime, the obvious lack of polish (and the resulting glitches/camera issues) tarnish it somewhat.'"

Even though the game is already available in Japan, the actual release date in the US is still unavailable. On the other hand, Gamezone also reported about the latest video gameplay of "Attack on Titan" and it reveals that the spring season release date for the US and the rest of the world.
