'American Idol' Recap: Angie Miller Leaves Idol Stage, Mariah Carey Performs "Beautiful" With Miguel

In a complete shock to America, die-hard fans had to say goodbye to the lovely and talented Angie Miller, who was voted off season-12 in the latest installment of "American Idol."

And just like that, another brilliantly talented star is forced to leave the "Idol" stage.

With Angie Miller leaving the "Idol" stage, only Candice Glover and Kree Harrison are left to battle it out in the final stages to becoming the next "American Idol."

Some have speculated that Miller's performances Wednesday night may have been what sealed her fate. Even though she was highly favored amongst fans and judges, each performance is vital to the contestants' survival.

With tensions high and all stakes on the line, each finalist was forced to give their performances everything to make it to the final two, but inevitably, one contestant had to leave.

Aware of what was at stake, Kree put her heart and soul into each performance. Jimmy Lovine even called Kree's second round song "a perfect combination of home story and song."

Yet, it seemed that Kree was the one inevitably going home. According to an EW.com viewer's poll, a whopping 60 percent of voters thought Kree would head home Thursday night, compared to Angie (23 percent) and Candice (17 percent).

It just goes to show the audience that no one's fated it sealed, and you must be willing to vote to see your favorite idol contestant get one step closer to their dreams.

Mariah Carey also debuted her new single "Beautiful" from her upcoming album, which featured Grammy winner and musical artist Miguel. Is this the beginning of Mariah's comeback? Quite possibly.

For now, the real story of last night is about the heartbreaking loss of Ms. Miller. While fans are sad to see her go, Miller's musical future is definitely just beginning to flourish.

So long, Angie Miller, you will be missed, but do not fret, your career is far from over.
