OJ Simpson In Court Again On Bid For New Trial [Video of his emotional plea]

OJ Simpson in court again next week to bid for a new trial after he was convicted of leading an armed sports memorabilia heist. While OJ Simpson is in court, he'll be asking for a new trial after his attorney botched the first one.

Simpson will testify that his Florida attorney, who collected almost $700,000 for representing the disgraced former NFL running back, is to blame for OJ Simpson's armed robbery and kidnapping conviction in 2008.

He'll also testify that his Florida lawyer is to blame for his appeal attempt in Nevada State Supreme Court earlier in 2010.

It's the first time that OJ Simpson is in court, since he was convicted of kidnapping and robbery during his 2008 trial. OJ Simpson in court will also be the first appearance of the 64-year-old professional athlete and actor in nearly four years.

OJ Simpson didn't testify in court for the Las Vegas trial he's currently appealing, nor did he take the stand when OJ Simpson was in court for his acquittal in the 1995 trial for the slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her male companion.

It's said that OJ Simpson in court won't be the OJ Simpson the public remembers from either case. Friends tell Fox News OJ Simpson in court will be wearing blue Nevada Department of Corrections clothing.

OJ Simpson in court will be heavier, grayer and limping from a long-ago football knee injury that's given him great discomfort since his time inside from the 2008 robbery and kidnapping conviction.

OJ Simpson in court will be a site to behold, it appears. He's scheduled to appear in Clark County District Court on Monday and will be in attendance during the entire five-day hearing. OJ Simpson will be in court on Wednesday to testify before a judge who has already agreed to hear 19 different points. Most of the points make claims that his Florida lawyer, Yale Galanter, represented OJ Simpson in court so poorly that Simpson deserves a new trial.

Currently, Simpson is serving 9-33 years for the robbery and kidnapping conviction. He's scheduled to first be eligible for parole when he turns 70.

After OJ Simpson's presence in court leads to a new trial, prosecutors in the case will have to decide whether to re-try him for the September 2007 incident that led to his arrest, or offer OJ Simpson in court a plea deal which would spare taxpayers the time and expense of a new trial.

OJ Simpson in court will claim that Galanter knew of his plan to take back sports memorabilia back and "I fully disclosed my plan to Yale Galanter, and he advised me that I was within my legal rights," to do so.

With OJ Simpson in court again, he'll also claim that Galanter also advised him that OJ Simpson in court did not need to testify since prosecutors had failed to prove their case.

Simpson was not told of a plea deal prosecutors originally offered, which would have sentenced him to just two years in prison. Now, OJ Simpson in court, is bit of a dejá vu moment, but Simpson claims "Had I understood that there was an actual chance of conviction, I would have accepted such an offer."
