Seth MacFarlane Reunites With Studio Who Made 'Ted,' For New Movie: 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'

Seth MacFarlane reunites with Universal Studios, who also produced his blockbuster comedy hit, "Ted," for a new movie slated for the summer of 2014, "A Million Ways to Die in the West."

The Wrap reports the "Family Guy" creator, Seth MacFarlane reunite with Universal to co-write, direct, produce and star in the the film, as a sheep farmer named Albert. Other actors attached to the project include Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfriend, Sarah Silverman and Giovanni Ribisi.

Seth MacFarlane reunites with the same creative team from Universal too, working with "Ted" producers, Scott Stuber and Jason Clark and co-writers Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin will all fill the same duties. Seth MacFarlane reunites with the co-financiers of "Ted" too, as Media Rights Capital will help finance the picture.

Seth MacFarlane reunites with Universal after his successful first feature film, "Ted," made the studio $549 million worldwide. The creator and star of hit Fox television shows, "Family Guy and "American Dad," Seth MacFarlane reunites with the same producers of "Ted," since they may be worried he won't do the sequel, "Ted 2."

After hosting the 85th annual Academy Awards in February and as his television shows continue to do well and his feature film vastly exceeded expectations, it makes sense Seth MacFarlane reunites with Universal. They want to cover their bases and help make "A Million Ways to Die in the West," in case it's as smashing a success as "Ted" was.

Universal's gamble on "Ted," means Seth MacFarlane reunites with them also includes a host of A-list actors and actresses signing on to appear in the new film. Since Seth MacFarlane reunites with all of the same people as "Ted," it stands to reason they'll be able to duplicate that film's high-grossing box office numbers.

The creator of "Family Guy," "American Dad," "The Cleveland Show," as well as a number of voice appearances on Adult Swim cartoons and hosting duties for the Oscars and earlier in the millennia, the Emmy's, means that MacFarlane's earlier inability to really break into show business is now a thing of the past. Seth MacFarlane reunites with his childhood dreams to become a Hollywood icon too.

After Seth MacFarlane reunites with his old box office numbers, we might be seeing even more of the "Family Guy" creator.
