A mssing Kansas girl, Lana Bailey, has been found. 18-month-old Lana Bailey has been found, the final victim of a quadruple homicide on a Kansas farm. Lana's mother, Kaylie Bailey, 21, Kaylie Bailey, 21, was found dead on Monday on the farm in rural Kansas, along with the bodies of two other male friends.

Authorities said Sunday that the missing Kansas girl was found, but not in the way they would have hoped. They confirmed that remains recovered in eastern Kansas on Saturday are most likely those of Lana Leigh Bailey, a child investigators previously reported as presumed dead.

Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards said in a statement on Sunday

"It is with great sadness that I report a body found in Osage County, Kansas, is believed to be the remains of 18-month-old Lana Bailey. I want the family of Lana, and all the victims, to know that this investigation will continue until we are confident we have collected as much evidence as we can to ensure justice is served on behalf of all four victims," Sheriff Richards said.

Richards reported that the body was found by a sheriff's deputy in Osage County who was searching for clues to the mystery that has left the small Kansas community in nearby Franklin County reeling. The deaths were discovered on May 6th in nearby Franklin County.

Kyle Flack, 27, has now been arrested after a search for him and charged with the four murders. Flack was a convicted felon who had already served time for murder. In addition to Lana Bailey and her mother Kaylie, Flack has been charged with capital murder for the deaths of 30-year-old Andrew Stout, Kaylie's boyfriend, and 31-year-old Steven White, who also lived on the farm.

Lana was found after an intensive search. At times, up to 150 people used resources including police dogs, dive teams, planes, sonar equipment, mounted patrols, boats and all-terrain vehicles to  look extensively for the girl over a wide area that stretched from Ottowa, KS to Emporia, KS.

Sherriff Richards said "We hope that a forensic examination will make a final identification. Until the identity is confirmed investigators will continue following up on all tips, leads and information connected to this crime."

Richards did not give details of the circumstances of how or where the body was found, but he added "It is not the outcome we'd hoped for but we knew we couldn't stop searching until Lana was home."
