Vin Diesel: 'Facebook Owes Me Billions Of Dollars' And 'Used To Ask Me To Come Up To Their Office To Explain What The F**k I Was Doing'

Vin Diesel: "Facebook owes me billions of dollars."  The "Fast and Furious" star has 41 million followers and has been asked up to the Facebook offices to explain what "the f-k" he's doing.

Vin Diesel joined Facebook in 2009, when it was still growing exponentially and before it went public with an IPO. At the time, Barack Obama was the only person with over 1,000,000 fans, and that's why, when talking to Entertainment Weekly, said Vin Diesel: "Facebook owes me billions of dollars" because he quickly caught on to the social media site with his audience.

Said Vin Diesel: "Facebook owes me billions of dollars. But whatever [laugh]"

Diesel continued to explain why he's so popular on Facebook:

"So, when I had started my page, the only person that had a million fans was Barack Obama. Because it was first-quarter 2009, and he'd just got elected as President, because of social media. So, when I started talking to the fans, I became the No. 1 page in the world. Over Coca-Cola, over huge companies. And it was only because I said: 'Hi, guys, I love you.'"

The Fast and the Furious 6 star, and anchor of the billion dollar Fast and Furious franchise continued:

"Facebook used to ask me to come up to their office to explain what the f**k I was doing, and why I had so many fans. What was unique was: I never let anyone do a post, I never let anyone post for me in the last four years. My audience knows me so well on the page that if my producing partner's in the room when I post, they'll know somebody was around me. That's kind of cool, that's how sophisticated they are." That's when Vin Diesel jokingly made his proclamation.

Vin Diesel: "Facebook owes me billions of dollars. But whatever [laugh]."

Bizarrely, Vin Diesel believes the social media site protects him, finishing up by telling Entertainment Weekly "You have an extra layer of protection i a weird way. I call on my angels because of that. If I'm doing a photo shoot with a leopard, and the leopard gets loose, and nobody got eaten, you kind of go: There must be something to that energy everyone has."

So does Facebook owe Vin Diesel "billions of dollars" like he said?
