Katy Perry Makes Appearance on Stage with Mick Jagger

Pop Diva Katy Perry Joins Rolling Stones on tour

On their "50 and Counting" tour, The Rolling Stones have been selecting surprise singers to join them on the stage. So far, stars like Gwen Stefani, Keith Urban and Tom Waits have made appearances, with Katy Perry being the most recent. On Sunday, May 12,2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Katy Perry joined the band onstage where she did a duet with Mick Jagger on the classic Some Girls hit, "Beast of Burden."

A few hours before the concert, Perry tweeted, "I'm much obliged & quite honored!" in response to her invitation to share the stage with the rock icons. Six songs into the band's set, Perry, clad in a tight black bustier-topped dress and thigh-high jet black boots, dazzled the crowd alongside Jagger. "Yes, I just did gyrated on Mick Jagger. WHAT?!" Perry posted after her onstage appearance. Perry accessorized her look with a spiked necklace and luscious curls, which transformed the pop icon into a commanding rock star, like that of her onstage counterpart.

It's safe to say that Perry has "the moves like Jagger," after her edgy-pop prowess proved to be on par with Jagger's rock and roll edge. Both Perry and Jagger have performed at the world's biggest stages, but nothing could be greater than these two forces uniting on the same stage floor to give concert patrons a show that would remain in their memories well until their later years in life. Perry and Jagger's collaboration was more than just the music; it was about bridging the generational gap and allowing the adult fans of The Rolling Stones to connect with the young fans of the "Teenage Dream" singer.

The MGM Grand will play host to another fantastic performance on Sunday, where artists such as Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Jennifer Lopez, Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera and more will grace the stage for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.
