BlackBerry confirmed that its Q10 release date would be in June of 2013. At the BlackBerry Live event in Orlando, Florida, CEO Thorsten Heins revealed that the BlackBerry Q10 would launch next month. The Q10 combines a touchscreen with a physical, QWERTY keyboard. EnGadget reported that Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile will all carry the Q10.

Earlier this year, BlackBerry introduced the Z10, the company's first touchscreen-only smartphone.

At its developer's conference, BlackBerry also announced the upcoming Q5 smartphone, which will shoot for emerging markets. The Q5 has a physical keyboard and will be available in four colors - black, white, red, and pink.

BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins said, "It is for youthful fans that are passionate, confident and bold, and it makes it easy for them to have fun, create, share and stay connected."

The Q5 will run BlackBerry 10 software and will be available in July in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It's not yet been revealed if the U.S. will get the budget BlackBerry device. Pricing information for the BlackBerry Q5 hasn't yet been revealed.

BlackBerry also announced an update to the BlackBerry 10 operating system, available now. The upgrade improves BlackBerry hub and notifications, and includes a High Dynamic Range mode for cameras to help maximize low lighting, according to USA Today.

At the conference, Heins also revealed that BBM will soon come to iOS and Android platforms. Initially, messaging and group features will launch, followed by Voice, Screenshare, Video and Channels releasing throughout the year.

The three-day BlackBerry live conference began today and will continue until May 16.
