Anna Wintour Banned Kris Jenner And Real House Of New York Ladies From Met Gala; Welcomes Kim Kardashian[VIDEO]

In a stunning turn of events, Anna Wintour, Editor and Chief Of Vogue, welcomed Kim Kardashian to the Met Gala last week.  But she was the only Kardashian that was allowed to attend, banning Kim's mother Kris. Anna also refused entry to "The Real Housewives Of New York" ladies.

Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner was apparently 'desperate' to go to the punk-themed event, but WIntour was not having it, putting a strict ban on reality stars. Anna approves every star who enters and although she finally relented on Kim, she drew the line at Kris.

She reportedly told her staff, "one Kardashian is enough!"

This is not the first time Wintour, 63, has nixed a member of the Kardashian clan attending the event.  Last year it was reported that Kim Kardashian had been banned from the guest list, and so boyfriend Kanye West was seen walking the red carpet alone.

Now that Kim is seven months' pregnant with her first child, Anna Wintour's alleged disgust of the reality star has softened. Kanye West is a favorite of the magazine queen and they have a true respect for each other.

She even welcomed the couple to her home for dinner the night before the Met Gala, dispelling any remaining rumors of animosity. But Anna reportedly picked out Kim's awkward floral Givenchy dress that was splattered across the worst dressed list in every magazine. So maybe Anna secretly still has an ax to grind with the 32-year-old.

The highly respected fashion queen, Anna Wintour, wanted a "parade" of stars at the gala, not a parade of reality stars. That's why Mrs. Wintour also refused the ladies from "The Real Housewives of New York".  The "Housewives" were ready to purchase a $250,000 dinner table at the Met Gala, but Anna denied their cash.

Native New York "Housewives" Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, LuAnn de Lesseps, Heather Thomson, Sonja Morgan and Aviva Drescher would have been contributing to funds raised for the Met's Costume Institute, but Anna didn't want a Pinot Grigio meltdown at her high fashion event.  The women are know to cause drama with or without the cameras and Wintour's classy gala had no room for their mayhem.

While Kris and The "Real Housewives" were banned, Kim Kardashian walked the red carpet holding hands with Kanye and looked excited to be attended the star-studded event.  The two were whispering secrets to each other and taking private photos for Kim's social media outlets.
