Danity Kane Plans Reunion Without Producer P. Diddy

For those who remember the MTV reality show Making The Band, rapper and producer P.Diddy created and guided new bands on his music label Bad Boy. Viewers watched the drama unfold as the bands learned to live together while collaborating on music projects. With a chart-topping debut album, Danity Kane was the most successful band created by P. Diddy on Making The Band 3 in 2005.

Four years later, Diddy fired all the members of Danity Kane, but now, the fierce singers are back on the scene with a reunion to be dated. Four original members of the group including Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres, grabbed lunch in L.A. with a different manager to discuss the details of a reunion.  Diddy has not been informed of the reunion, and will surely be outraged by the girls going rogue. After all, he did invent them.

The band name, Danity Kane, might belong to Diddy, but the group is continuing to use it as their definitive artist group title. Therefore, another high-profile lawsuit may soon be underway.

The turmoil said to be the cause of the disbandment was money. The girls felt as though they weren't being given a fair share of their earnings. Rumors also circulated that D. Woods was given extra priority as a means to set her up for a solo career. Woods was absent from the lunch meeting and it is unclear whether she will join her former band mates for a reunion.

Danity Kane is most well-known for the hits "Damaged" and "Show-Stopper," which throttled them to the top of the charts. Combined with their singing talent, the girls knew how to put on a dazzling show with their tight dance moves and flawless looks. Hopefully, they'll be able to pull it off again if the reemerge onto the ever-changing music scene - with or without Diddy's blessing.
