NFL Star Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson Has Warrant Out For His Arrest

Chad Johnson, also known as Chad Ochocinco, used to be a star receiver in the National Football League. Now, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Cincinnati Bengal player.

The state attorney's office confirmed Thursday that a Broward County, Florida circuit judge issued a warrant May 7 against Johnson for failing to report to his probation officer, according to TMZ.com.

Johnson received a year of probation last September after pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge involving his former wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada.

Johnson also allegedly failed to show proof of enrollment and completion of the "Batterers Intervention Program."

Once Johnson is taken into custody -- a hearing will be set to determine whether Johnson did in fact violate his probation. If he did, it could mean jail time.

The six-time Pro Bowl player was arrested in August after Lozada said he head-butted her during an argument. She quickly filed for divorce, which was finalized days before his conviction. They only had been married since July 4, said TMZ.

Johnson was cut by the Miami Dolphins shortly afterward. He previously played for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots.

Lozada is on the "Basketball Wives" TV show.

Johnson is currently in Pasadena, CA -- according to his Twitter page. We reached out to Chad's lawyer -- so far, no response.
