Psy 'Gangnam Style' MV hits 1.6 Billion Views

Unprecedented, unthinkable, Unbelievable. "Gangnam Style."

It has already been ten months since it happened.

The viral music video from a South Korean singer unfamiliar to hardly anyone outside of Korea swept across Asia, Americas and Europe. The eccentric, novel choreography that cracked millions of laughter set countless records on its way to become the most viewed YouTube clip ever, surpassing the global pop artist, Justin Bieber.

Well, the view count has never stopped and it is still going up.

After ten months since its release, the music video of "Gangnam Style" exceeded 1.6 billion YouTube hits.

As of May 16, it records 1,601,431,483 hits. The number of likes on the video stands at 7,544,538.

Currently, Psy's new music video of "Gentleman" has gotten over 330 million YouTube hits and broke the top 20 all-time most viewed ranking. Though it is far from eclipsing "Gangnam Style" it is smooth sailing, to say the least.
