Jason Collins' Twin Gets `I'm the Straight One!’ T-Shirt From Jimmy Kimmel

Can’t tell twins apart? Jimmy Kimmel gave Jason Collins’ twin an “I’m the straight one!” T-shirt to clear up any confusion last night.

Playing for laughs, Jarron Collins, the twin brother of the first openly-gay athlete in American team sports, Jason Collins, was on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night to clear up any doubts people might have about his sexuality.

Like his brother, Jarron Collins played for the NBA for ten years before he retired in 2011.

The Utah Jazz picked up Jarron Collins in the second round of the 2001 NBA Draft. Collins stayed at the Jazz for eight seasons before becoming a free agent after the 2009 season. Collins went to the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2009 NBA preseason. Jarron Collins then joined the Los Angeles Clippers on January 7, 2011. He retired from basketball after the 2011 season.

After the taping the late-night show he tweeted "Thanks to @jimmykimmel for the tshirt parting gift....this ought to clear things up."

Jason Collins came out of the closet just a few weeks ago. The NBA journeyman made history with his groundbreaking announcement in a Sports Illustrated cover story that he wrote with Franz Lidz. Jason wrote "I'm a 34-year-old NBA center. I'm black. And I'm gay." Jason wrote.

The sports world may have been surprised by the announcement, but his straight brother was caught completely off guard. He explained "He was very direct about it. He says 'Jarron, I'm gay'. I heard it, but I didn't quite register it. And I went about asking some of the dumbest questions you can possible ask someone who just told you they're gay." The first question he asked, he told the laughing audience was "Are you sure?"

Jason Collins was sure. He said that he ultimately made the decision to go public with his sexuality because he was tired of living a dishonest life.
