Howard Stern Purchases $52 Million Mansion In Palm Beach, Florida

The talk radio business has been very, very good to Howard Stern. The self-proclaimed "King of All Media," who has been heard on SiriusXM radio for the past eight years as well as seen on television as a judge on "America's Got Talent" just plunked down $52 million for a home in Palm Beach, Florida, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.

Yes, $52 million dollars is enough money to pay back some country's debts but Stern shouldn't have much of a problem paying for his new home. His Sirius deal pays him 500 million dollars over a five-year period while his second job, the tv gig, is also a multi-million dollar per year job.

As per details provided by real estate website, Trulia, Stern's new home sits on 3.25 waterfront acres and totals nearly 40,000 square feet of total living space, including a five-bedroom, 11-bath main house that totals 18,673 square feet, as well as a "smaller" structure, a beachfront pool, and formal gardens.

The previous owners - Martin Trust, the president of a New Hampshire-based investment firm, and his wife - purchased the land for less than $4.6 million in 1986 and had the mansion custom built six years later.

Sadly, no interior photos of his new lair have surfaced yet, but from the looks of the aerial shot, there's plenty of privacy, something Stern seeks out when he's off the air. The 59-year-old - who has been married to animal activist and TV host Beth Ostrosky, 40, for more than four years - already owns two homes in New York: a luxury apartment on Manhattan's Upper West Side and a mansion in the Hamptons.

According to Yahoo.com, Stern has talked often on his show over the years about eventually wanting to leave the cold Northeast winters behind and move to Florida, though considering he renewed his contract with Sirius for another five years in 2010, he's committed to staying on until 2015. Though working from home in his own studio is always a possibility ... there's clearly room for it.
