The Powerball Winning Ticket Of $600 Million Belongs To Somebody Or A Group In The Small Town Of Zephyrhills, Florida

The Powerball winning ticket Saturday night belonged to one lucky winner who purchased the ticket a local supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla.

Publix supermarket was the place that held the Powerball winning ticket, the Florida Lottery Association announced at 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

It was a record for the Powerball jackpot and it was the second-largest prize in lottery history. The name of the beholder of the Powerball winning ticket has yet to be identified or if it belonged to a group of people, which past lotto winners have done so in groups.

"This would be the sixth Florida Powerball winner and right now, it's the sole winner of the largest ever Powerball jackpot," Florida Lottery executive Cindy O'Connell told Associated Press. "We're delighted right now that we have the sole winner."

The winning numbers in Saturday's drawing were 10, 13, 14, 22, 52, and a Powerball of 11.

Zephyrhills is a city with a population around 10,000 and the home of one of the world's largest drop zones for skydiving, called Skydive City.

The next step is to decide to accept the money as an annuity or the lump sum, which comes out to $370,896,780.54 after taxes.

For the next Powerball jackpot drawing on Wednesday night, it will restart at $40 million and continue to increase as long as nobody has the winning ticket.
