K-pop's biggest international star Psy's net worth has risen to $25 million, according to the website CelebrityNetWorth.com.

Since being released last July, his international smash hit "Gangnam Style" has amassed over 1.6 billion views on Youtube.

CelebrityNetWorth reports the song has earned over $870,000 in ad revenue sharing alone. "Gangnam Style" also earned Psy over $2.4 million in iTunes downloads, reaching number one on iTunes charts in 40 countries.

Psy's endorsement deals have earned him an estimated $4.6 million and counting. The star has cut lucrative deals with companies like Samsung, Nongshim Ramyun, and Jinro.

With the success of Psy's new single "Gentleman," released on April 13, the South Korean rapper's endorsements have expanded to include cosmetic brands and postage stamps, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Psy has also raised his profile on a current US promotional tour, visiting "The Ellen Degeneres Show" and the "Today" show.

With such rapid success, even he admits that "life is weird," according to a recent speech at Harvard University. "When I made my debut in Korea, it was a disaster. People didn't say 'who is that'. People said 'what is that'."

"'Gangnam' was an accident. And accidents don't happen often."

And Psy is not the only one benefiting from his success.

Last year, the K-pop star's father earned an estimated $30 million after the release of "Gangnam Style" when his company stocks rose by 188 percent. Psy's agency YG Entertainment rose to the highest levels in six months in in the South Korean stock market after the music video for "Gentleman" released, according to the website Bloomberg.

With the success of its artists like Psy, Big Bang, and 2NE1, the agency plans to expand its business into China.

"Behind 'Gangnam Style' are great efforts by the Korean government and music companies to develop and promote Korean pop music," Zhang Yanbin, the president of the China Record Working Committee told the China Daily.

"The Chinese government should also try to create better environments for Chinese pop music."
