Free Burgers for Life: Local Hero Will Never Have to Pay For Beef Patties Again

Charles Ramsey, a local from Cleveland, now a local hero and a national and online sensation just got the most sumptuous privilege he can have -- free burgers for life! And 14 restaurants had already pledged.

Charles Ramsey was immediately regarded as a hero when he helped in rescuing three women who were kidnapped and trapped in Ariel Castro's home in Cleveland for about 10 years. It was May 6, 2013 and Ramsey was set to enjoy his Big Mac when he was interrupted by Amanda Berry and her daughter running away from the house where they were held locked up, together with Michelle Knights and Gina deJesus.

"I heard screamin. I'm eating my McDonald's, I come outside, I see this girl going nuts trying to get out of her house. So I go on the porch and she says, 'Help me get out, I've been here a long time.'" Ramsey told in an interview.

And after the heroic deed he made, he was given a burger card which provided him the opportunity to get free burgers for life.

The burger enthusiast Charles Ramsey will never have to pay again for beef patty in Cleveland, as 14 local eateries pledge for the Chuck Card, which gives Ramsey free burgers for life. The card was the idea of Scott Kuhn from the Driftwood Restaurant Group to give honor to their local hero through local food. "He stopped his meal midway through to help those women. We're now making sure he has other opportunities to go out and fully enjoy his burger," Kuhn said in an interview,

Ramsey works as a dishwasher in a local restaurant called Hodge's Cleveland, and as a way to pay tribute to the laudable act he have done, it revealed a new burger creation inspired by the hero. In their Twitter account, @HodgesCleveland, it says "Tomorrow: We launch the #RamseyBurger! 8 oz. CAB burger with secret sauce and more for $12 (served with tots)!"

But there is one notable restaurant not participating in this free burgers for life perk given to Ramsey, McDonalds. Hence, a post from Reddit.com was made with a title, "Charles Ramsey deserves Free Big Macs for life. Who agrees?" So far, it already made 19000 upvotes from the users.
