Kellie Pickler Wins Dancing With The Stars Competition As Her Husband Cries In the Audience

Kellie Pickler, despite not winning the American Idol competition, certainly became a hugely popular singer when she competed on that popular talent show. In the weekly fan tabulation of votes.

Pickler's numbers were always in the millions. But for Kellie and her husband, Kyle Jacobs, nothing, so far, has compared to her big win on ABC's dancing reality show, Dancing With The Stars, which she won yesterday.

For Kellie, despite the millions of fans she now has through her appearances on television's two most popular reality shows, her biggest fan of all may well be her husband, who was so overwhelmed by his wife's huge win on Dancing With the Stars this week, he broke down in tears.

"I was like, 'Baby, were you crying?' And he was like, 'Oh, I had something in my eye. I got some confetti in my eye."

The truth is, Jabobs became emotional for good reason.

"He was so proud," said Kellie. "The first thing he said tonight was, 'Baby, I love you and I'm so proud of you. You did it."

Pickler told US Magazine how excited she found her DWTS experience.

"I'm overwhelmed with joy," she said. "I'm kind of speechless for the first time. Usually, I can be quiet. Usually, I'm just spitting out words left and right, and now I don't know what to say."

Pickler was already famous for her beautiful country music singing voice but to her great surprise, she added her dancing skills to her repertoire, her husband told US.

"For a girl who has never danced, to win Dancing with The Stars  is absolutely phenomenal," he said. "As her husband, I could not be more proud."

In the DWTS finale, Pickler beat out Disney star Zendaya, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones, and Olympic gymnast, Aly Raisman for the Mirror Ball trophy.

"I was shocked to have made it this far," she said afterwords. "We've made so many memories out here on this dance floor and in the studio. We've all worked so hard to be here, and it is just overwhelming. But in a great way."

Pickler's dancing experience will not be one-time thing for her. She's loves it.

"I told my husband that if he didn't take dance classes with me, I'd have to find a rent-a-husband," she joked.

But that won't be necessary, said Kyle.

"I'll definitely have to take a dance class," he said. "We're going to take them together."
