Amanda Bynes Arrested: Actress in Trouble Again, This Time Because of Marijuana Possession
Amanda Bynes arrested again for allegedly throwing out marijuana paraphernalia out the window of her apartment.
The Hollywood actress got arrested again and this time, in New York, May 23, after she tossed out a bong out of her apartment's window in Manhattan.
According to NYPD spokesperson Detective Brian Sessa, the New York police got a call on Thursday night from an employee of the 47th Street high-rise building where Amanda Bynes is currently living. According to the caller, someone is smoking marijuana in the building's lobby. And immediately when the police arrived to the area, they were directed to the apartment unit of Amanda Bynes. The Easy A actress invited the police into her apartment.
NYPD officers were able to detect a strong stench of marijuana in the apartment, as well as a bong, which is a tube-shaped pipe that is normally used when smoking marijuana. According to Sessa, Amanda Bynes took the bong and then tossed it out the window. Bynes is currently living on the 36th floor of the building.
The 27-year old actress was taken to Roosevelt Hospital to get psychiatric evaluation. Afterwards, she was brought into the police custody for processing after being charged with criminal marijuana possession, tampering with physical evidence and reckless endangerment.
Before Amanda Bynes was arrested for marijuana possession, she recently got involved in various issues. A previous one is when she was rejected to aboard in a private jet plane after using her Google ID as she told the pilot, "Google me!"
Furthermore, included in the several run-ins she had with the law is when she was caught using a suspended driver's license. Earlier this month, Amanda Bynes had pleaded no contest in a California court for the case. Because of this, Bynes get 3 years probation.
