Is this the new Kanye West 'Yeezus' album with track listing or a hoax? [pic]

A screenshot of Kanye West's new album, entitled Yeezus, and the track listing was leaked this past weekend, with Kim Kardashian tweeting out the album's cover art. But is this whole thing a hoax?

It all started on Saturday night, where Kanye performed during the season finale of Saturday Night Live.

Before Kanye's appearance, the mother of his child, Kim Kardashian, posted a picture to Instagram this past week that seemed to show the upcoming Kanye album, with a post-it note attached featuring the title of the album, Yeezus.

The suggstion was that this could be the sleeve for the upcoming Kanye West album, Yeezus, which he's been working on in Paris.

Kim also captioned the uploading with the hashtag, #Yeezus.

The new Kanye album is due out on June 18 this year, and it'll be Kanye's 6th solo studio album and first since 2010's critical and commercial success My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy; although, he released the conspicuous consumptive hit Watch the Throne with Jay-Z in 2011, and Cruel Summer with GOOD music last year.

On May 17, Kanye premiered one of the songs from the upcoming album by projecting a recording of his face on buildings around the world for the song "Black Jesus. "

Because Kanye has been so mum about his new solo stuff, it was big news when Beats Per Minute posted an apparent leak by iTunes with all the upcoming tracks on Kanye's new solo album.

It also showed the world who Kanye will be teaming up with on Yeezus

Here is the tracklisting according to the leaked screenshot above:

Kanye West - Yeezus (Unconfirmed):
1. Awake With The Dark
2. New Slaves (Feat. Frank Ocean)
3. Lightning
4. Onsite (Feat. Travi$ Scott)
5. God (Interlude)
6. Chained (Feat. Jay Electronica, James Blake, & Lonne Chia)
7. Perfect
8. Boxed Out (Feat. Chief Keef, RZA & Ma$e)
9. Black Skinhead
10. The Follower
11. Hyper Critical (Feat. Tyler, The Creator)
12. In The Heavens (Feat. John Legend)
13. Demon

As you can see, musical guests on the Kanye West solo project include, RZA, Frank Ocean, Tyler the creator, John Legend and more. But is the whole thing a hoax?

The leaked tracklistings might turn out to be false after tech blogger, Kurt Trowbridge, explained how to use iTunes Link Maker to check the legitimacy of upcoming releases.

Writes Trowbridge:

"Searching such queries as "yeezus track 1″ through "yeezus track 14″ pulls the Kanye West artist listing, but "yeezus track 15″ does not. Not only does this suggest that Yeezus will have fourteen tracks, as is shown in the rumored pre-order, but it shows that the temporary titles of the songs in the iTunes database have not yet been replaced."

It remains to be seen whether the tracklisting screenshot from iTunes matches Yeezy's upcoming release of Yeezus, but Kanye West fans have something more to wet their appetite before this summer's heralded solo release.

Whether the leak turns out to be true or false is almost besides the point: people are excited for more original Kanye West music and they're willing to latch onto anything resembling such top secret material.
