Are Katy Perry And Robert Pattinson Hooking Up? They Were Spotted Outside A Wedding Rehearsal In Santa Barbara Over Memorial Day Weekend [Video]

After Robert Pattinson moved his stuff out of Kristen Stewart's home, he was spotted with friend, Katy Perry watching a wedding rehearsal in Santa Barbara over Memorial Day Weekend.

The singer, Perry, is said to be one of the reasons Pattinson split from Kristen Stewart last week after a fight on his birthday.

The 28-year-old "California Gurls" singer, lives in Santa Barbara, California, and she was spotted with Robert Pattinson over the weekend covertly spying a wedding rehearsal, reports People Magazine.

A source told People:

"Katy and Rob were just sitting next to each other watching the wedding rehearsal in the main courtyard area. There was no PDA between them and no body language that showed they were dating. They just sat together and watched."

There have been rampant reports that Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry have grown close during the tumultuous split with his Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart.

Katy Perry's close friend, Bella Rapone, told the Daily Star that a couple weeks before the split, Pattinson, 27, had gone to a music show with Perry in New York.

Said Rapone:

"She and Rob started off in the Bowery Ballroom, where they watched a gig by the indie band Daughter with a whole bunch of people, mainly pals of hers," said Rapone.

"Then they took off with a smaller group for a much more intimate venue, The Spot at the Trump SoHo Hotel, where it was ­obvious there was ­chemistry between them." That was before Rapone added, "They've always liked each other."

Despite earlier reports that Pattinson and Stewart broke up over earlier indiscretions came to light with Stewart's one-time director on Snow White and the Huntsman, Rupert Sanders.

But the split might have had something to do with Pattinson's night out with Perry earlier in New York.

"She kept asking him how he could think of betraying her in public after all they had been through," said Rapone about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson after he got back from his New York City adventures with Perry.

"Rob said something like that was rich coming from her. The argument descended into a yelling match. At the end, Rob said he'd had enough, packed his bags and walked out on her for a second time."

It seems their split had more to do with Pattison's blossoming "friendship" with Katy Perry.

This combined with their impromptu wedding rehearsal date in Santa Barbara, and there's a reason Kristen Stewart might be a little testy.

Stewart was seen flipping off reporters over the weekend as she left her Southern California home.
