JC Penny Hitler Billboard Supposed To Resemble Teapot; JC Penny Says Resemblence 'Totally Unintentional' [Video and Pic]

Along Interstate 405 in Culver City, California, a Hitler billboard has created quite a stir on social media sites, Reddit and Twitter, despite only a faint resemblence to the German genocidal dictator.

As first reported by the UK's Daily Mail, but spotted on Reddit and Twitter a-like, the new JC Penny billboard in Culver City is likely to get at least one ad executive in hot water.

That's because it's now the Hitler billboard as commuters have snapped photos of the Hitler billboard to post to social media sites.

We've provided a picture with the features blurred out so the connection to Hitler can be made a little easier. What do you think? Does this JC Penny billboard in fact look like a Hitler billboard?

The Hitler billboard is supposed to resemble JC Penny's new teapot, which is sold exclusively at their retail outlets.

The teapot in question is a Michael Graves designed stainless steel teakettle still retailing for approximately $40 on JC Penny's website despite the Hitler billboard brouhahah

Here is the teapot the Hitler billboard is supposed to resemble:

Several motorists snapped photos of the 36 x 10 foot long Hitler billboard because of it's connection to the awful, deranged dictator of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler.

But you need to suspend belief a little to make the connection; although, we're sure JC Penny's marketing department is loving the connection the teapot has made to the murderer of 6 million Jewish citizens during WWII, the Hitler billboard doesn't resemble Hitler that much.

The Hitler billboard that's supposed to resemble their teapot hasn't meant that JC Penny has kept quiet about the whole controversy.

After the Huffington Post tweeted at JC Penny, they responded about the Hitler billboard.

It seems the Hitler billboard just bares an unfortunate likeness to their new teapot.

But what if Hitler heard about the Hitler billboard? What would Hitler think?

One enterprising YouTube member made this spoof after the Hitler billboard got some legs today:

Does the Hitler billboard remind you of Hitler or are you like many commuters who simply didn't look at the billboard in the first place?
