sir Patrick Stewart Eats His First Slice Of Pizza And Tweets Pic On Twitter! Of All The Za In NYC Why Would He Choose 'Smiling Pizza'---MY NYC PIZZA PICKS![VIDEOS]

Sir Patrick Stewart ate his first slice of pizza ever today! The actor, who lives in Brooklyn had never had a slice of pizza before and tweets his experience for all his twitter fans.  As a blooklynite I have to ask him...why did you pick mediocre 'Smiling Pizza' for your first pizza slice ever?

Sir Patrick Stewart tweets: My first ever pizza "slice". Please note: the authentic NY fold. ‪pic.twitter.com/X7nWRbftyh

The English actor picked Smiling Pizza in Park Slope for his first pizza slice.  Now I'm no pizza slice expert, but I've been to the Smiling pizza, which resides adjacent to the F and G trains, many times. Convenient, yes. But it is no place to have your first bite of pizza! Artichoke Pizza is the best pizza in NYC, hands down.

Lucky Steve Zito, owner of the family run Smiling Pizza in Park Slope, told FoxNews.com that he was honored Stewart picked his spot.

"I didn't know it was his first slice. I would have given him another."  He added humorously, "we've only been here for 48 years.  What took him so long?"

Smiling Pizza is not terrible, but for your first slice you gotta hit the one of the greats! The Star Trek star could go anywhere in NYC for a slice and there are so many better places. Here are my picks:

Artichoke Pizza has a few locations in the city but the original is on 328 E. 14th St between 1st and 2nd Ave. Order the Artichoke slice and you will not be dissatisfied.  This i bubbling white pie, rich and creamy with large pieces of spinach, chunks of artichoke, and ample cheese is the slice of my dreams. My second favorite slice there is the margarita slice.  The sauce is rich, thick and sweet and the whole crusty experience just melts in your mouth.

John's of Bleecker Street in the West Village is nothing short of perfection. Although Stewart couldn't get a slice, (it's sold by the pie) I'm sure Patrick could afford it the whole circle of dough.  And it would have been worth every bite!

And then there is MY pizza place, just two blocks from my apartment, My Little Pizzeria. From the plain slice to the margarita slice, this place is a Brooklyn treasure. It's right by the first subway stop (2,3,4,5 trains) toward Brooklyn from Manhattan and won't set you back more than a few dollars. The slices are delicious and you can add as much fresh basil as you prefer, with a dish of the herb by the register.

So Sir Patrick Stewart...do you're research and don't settle when it comes to BK za!

What's your absolute favorite pizza slice in NYC?
