Lindsay Lohan Had An "Epiphany" In Rehab, Buys Family Jewelry: Father Michael Lohan "Couldn't Believe Eyes"

Micahel Lohan visited Lindsay in rehab and says he "couldn't believe his eyes" and that Lindsay is doing amazingly well. A few days ago, Michael Lohan was insistent that he wanted LiLo to get the eff OUT of Betty Ford, ASAP. Now, however, he thinks she's doing brilliantly.

According to Michael, Lindsay's dad, his daughter is clear-eyed and totally sober. She looks better than she has in years and she's finally kicked her biggest substance problem: combining Adderall with alcohol. In fact, she's determined to never take Adderall again.

Um...it would be nice if she were also determined to never drink again, but, at this point, something's better than nothing, right?

"It's just enough is enough and I think she realizes it. In everyone's life there comes an epiphany and I guess it's come upon her in some way, shape or form. It's time and I think she knows that," he said.

He still wants to talk about moving her somewhere else, and will meet with Lindsay's attorney about doing so...but he still thinks she's making progress. He wants her to get more trauma therapy and one-on-one therapy.

Lindsay apparently wanted to unite her family in some way, because they are so divided and at war with each other, which contributes to her issues. So she had the idea of getting each of them anchor jewelry to symbolize how they ground and anchor her.

Michael was so touched by the idea that he went out and bought them; Lindsay will give them to mother Dina, sister Ali, and brothers Cody and Michael Jr. when they visit next weekend.

Lindsay's treatment team at Betty Ford has an eventual, overarching goal of getting the whole family together in one room for a family session. It seems at Betty Ford, they are really working on the deeper familial issues - not just keeping her from using while she's there. And, to boot, perhaps Linds is more willing to do so now.

"She's doing phenomenal," Michael said "There's a lot of healing going on, you know. This is only the beginning of the process, she has 60 more days."

Either Lindsay's incredibly manipulative, or something's actually going well this time. Forgive us for being a bit suspicious, but even the most genuinely motivated addicts get often all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed...then falter. Fingers crossed - let's hope it sticks this time.
