Nexus 4 Released In South Korea: White Nexus 4 Available In June, LG Exec Reveals No Nexus 5 In The Works [PHOTO]

The Nexus 4, which has received positive reviews since its release, is finally arriving in South Korea.

Google Korea announced via Yonhap News that it would begin selling the Nexus 4 in Korea to better compete with Samsung's Galaxy and Apple's iPhone, according to Android Authority.

The Nexus 4 is allegedly already available on Korea's Google Play Store.

8GB and 16GB versions of the Nexus 4 are currently available. They are priced at 399,000 Won ($350) and 459,000 Won ($405) respectively.

It's surprising that Google has waited so long to release the Nexus 4 in Korea, as it first became available in the U.S. and Europe in November of 2012.

Google hasn't commented on the reasons behind the delay. However, supply issues have plagued the phone, decreasing its availability worldwide, according to The Next Web.

Although a white Nexus 4 has recently been announced, the black version of the Nexus 4 is the only one currently available.

The white Nexus 4 was officially released in Hong Kong on May 29 and is expected to roll out internationally next month.

Nexus 4's white version was first leaked in January of this year. It features the same specs as the black version: 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 IPS display, quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, and 2GB of RAM.  The 4.7-inch Nexus 4 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Despite the Nexus 4's success, an executive at LG, Google's production partner for Nexus devices, recently admitted that a Nexus 5 is not in the works.

Won Kim, VP of LG Mobile in Europe reportedly told All About Phones, "The Nexus 4 was a great success despite the production problems for us and Google. However, we do not need such a marketing success again... This has no added value for us without our own skins."

The Nexus 4 white version will allegedly be released in "select markets" in Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East within the next few weeks.
