Katie Couric Dishes To Howard Stern About Jeff Probst Bob Saget Dates And 'Almost-Date' With Michael Jackson [Video]

Katie Couric went on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show yesterday and revealed the dates she went on with Jeff Probst and Bob Saget, plus turning down Michael Jackson for a date, which she says she now regrets.

Here is how Couric recalled her dates with former Full House cast member, Bob Saget, and Survivor host, Jeff Probst.

About Saget, Couric said he's "really fun" but Saget wasn't feeling her she said.

"I don't think I did it for him," she told Stern. Saget didn't give her a second call after their intial date, but she told Stern, "That's alright."

She continued about Probst: "I went out with Jeff Probst once too. I think he had puka shells on -- that was kind of a weird thing."

The 51-year-old Probst has been the host of the hit Survivor since it's debut in 2000.

Stern was particularly upset that neither man called Couric back. The Former Good Morning America host didn't mind, though, telling Stern:

"I can't say that I was devastated that neither called me back. I thought they were both nice guys... I don't think there was real magic there with either [of them], but I enjoyed spending time with them.

"I think women need to be much more open-minded."

But perhaps the highlight of the tell-all interview was Couric's admission that Michael Jackson tried to arrange a date with her 12 years ago through his Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

Boteach called and, according to Katie Couric he said "'Katie, I have a question for you, are you seeing anyone?' And I thought, this is so beyond creepy that Rabbi Shmuley is hitting on me. I'm like 'Rabbi Shmuley, you have like nine kids, what's going on here?' I said 'Actually, I am [seeing someone].' Because I had a boyfriend at the time."

She continued: "He said, 'Oh, that's a shame . . . Michael [Jackson] said to me 'That's the kind of girl I would like to go out with . . .' and I said, 'Rabbi Shmuley, that's very flattering but I am seeing someone . . . will you tell him how flattered I am and what a nice compliment that is?'"

Couric went on about the possible Michael Jackson date:

"Not to be too psychoanalytical about it, but I think he was looking for a little normalcy possibly, and maybe he saw me as kind of a normal person."

But now Katie Couric regrets not having dinner with the late, great pop star, MJ.

"I do regret not having dinner with him. That would have been insane -- breaking bread with Michael Jackson!"

Since September, Katie Couric has hosted Katie a syndicated daytime talk show produced by Disney-ABC. She's also still a special news correspondent to ABC.
