Bon Jovi Cares For The Poor, Generously Cuts Concert Ticket Price For Spanish Fans Suffering From Recession [VIDEO]

Bon Jovi, American rock band from New Jersey, generously cut the ticket price for their June concert in Spain, as the country has been hit with recession.

Fans in Spain, which has recently been hit by a severe economic crisis and now has an unemployment rate as high as 27 percent, would most likely not have been able to afford a ticket to see Bon Jovi perform, if the band had not decided to cut the ticket price.

Originally, Bon Jovi planned to skip Madrid, Spain on their concert tour as they worried that their concert may have lower ticket sales in the country.

However, the rock band decided to waive the performance fee completely, so that the concert tickets would be sold between $23 and $50 (or 18 to 39 euros), which is only fifty percent of the normal ticket cost.

The new, lowered ticket price would only cover the cost of having the concert and excludes any extra performance fees.

"We didn't want to forget all about our fans in a country which I love, and which has treated me so well for 30 years," said Jon Bon Jovi, lead singer of the rock band, to Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

Now Spanish fans who may not have had much money to pay for regular-priced tickets could attend the concert and see Bon Jovi perform.

The June concert in Spain has been sold out, now that the tickets are much more affordable.

In response, users on Twitter applauded Bon Jovi's generous act.

@BrandSeph wrote, "Good Guy Bon Jovi, holding a free concert at Madrid due to bad economy."

@larryiser also wrote, "Nicely done @bonjovi: Band waives pay for financially strapped Spain."
