Super Mario Brothers To Get A Comic Sequel, Picking Up After The 1993 Movie's Ending

Super Mario Brother's fans will get to see what happens next to the most popular plumber brothers in town, as a comic book sequel was picked up after a recent Los Angeles screening of the Super Mario Brothers movie, produced in 1993.

The comic, produced after consulting with Parker Bennett, the original film writer, picks up soon after the movie ended. The artwork was done by Joshua Ballze. The webcomic sequel is expected to showcase new locations and characters, drawing inspiration from the Super Mario Brothers game.

Apparently, the comic sequel project has already been in its development stage for two years. Now, it seems that the project is official, as the comic was featured in the most recent issue of Nintendo Force.

Speaking of the 1993 Super Mario Brothers movie, the actor John Leguizamo, who played Mario's younger brother, Luigi, had introduced the film during its screening in Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles. Leguizamo also shared some stories and anecdotes from when they filmed the movie.

Leguizamo feels happy that the film ended up with an interesting appeal. He also shared shared that he was happy to be part of such a huge tale in the history of gaming.

Meanwhile, one of the latest Super Mario games offered by Nintendo is the Super Mario Brothers U, which can only be played through their latest game console, Wii U. The game can be enjoyed by up to 5 players.

Nintendo 3DS owners can now enjoy the latest Paper Mario: Sticker Star as well as the New Super Mario Bros. 2.
