Angelina Jolie Missing Aunt’s Funeral For Public Appearance At Brad Pitt’s Movie Premiere, Couple’s Wedding In Sight?
Angelina Jolie will miss her aunt's funeral on Sunday to support her fiancé Brad Pitt at his movie premiere in London. It will be Jolie's first public appearance since announcing she had undergone a double mastectomy to lower her chances of contracting breast cancer.
Angelina will walk the red carpet in London for Brad Pitt's premiere of his new film, "World War Z." Jolie has stayed out of the public's eye since she announced she underwent surgery for the faulty BRCA1 gene that makes her chances of contracting breast or ovarian cancer very high. She wrote in a piece to the New York Times about the process: "We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has."
According to the New York Post, this recent experience has brought the couple closer than ever.
A source told the Mail that Angelina probably won't wait much longer before she finally weds Brad.
"Angie is keen on a wedding, and the kids are clamoring for a marriage and keep asking Brad and Angie when it's happening," a friend said.
Angelina and Brad fell in love on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005. They got engaged in 2011. Reports say the couple has been eyeing their chataeu in France as a possible wedding location.
Angelina Jolie's aunt, Debbie Martin, lost her battle with breast cancer on Sunday.
"Angelina has been in touch throughout the week and her brother Jamie has been with us, giving his support day by day," Ron Martin, Jolie's uncle, said, E! Online reports. "They both loved Debbie very much and although Angie is not able to come right now she has sent her love and support which was very nice."
"We have seen Angelina a number of times since Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer and Debbie and I were both very proud of her recent decision to have the double mastectomy and to do everything she can to keep her family from having to go through what we've been through," he said.
