Are They Or Aren't They? Mystery Continues To Surround Miley Cyrus' Relationship [PHOTO]

Miley Cyrus continues to baffle fans and critics of her relationship.

The 20 year old former Disney star has been engaged to 23-year-old "The Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth for over a year, and since then rumors have been constant regarding the pair's relationship.

The couple met in 2009, on the set of their film "The Last Song" , and after dating for three years they got engaged in June of 2012.

Cyrus has remained mute about her relationship, which has fueled the rumors that surround the couple. The latest is that the pair has ended their four year relationship and year long engagement.

E! has reported that the couple is still "hanging in there," despite hitting a rough patch.

"It's been rocky" for the two but they're hanging in there," a source told E! News.

"They break up, get back together, repeat ... they will eventually burn out.," a source told US Weekly.  

On Thursday, Cyrus added fuel to the fire when she decided to share a picture of herself with her followers via the social media site Twitter, wearing what appears to be a wedding dress.

Although reps for Cyrus and Hemsworth did not respond to ABC News when asked if the couple had split, a source for Life and Style magazine said "The two know it's over ... but aren't ready to announce it."
