Suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's Mother Maintains His Innocence: Uncle Says Alleged Boston Bombers “Do Not Deserve To Live On This Earth.”

Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, the mother of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, told the Associated Press on Thursday that both of her sons were innocent, refuting claims made by Tsarnaev's uncle that the suspects were guilty.

"I could just feel that he was being driven crazy by the unfairness that happened to us, that they killed our innocent Tamerlan," Tsarnaeva said, speaking about Dzhokhar who is currently in police custody.

Tamerlan, Dzhokhar's older brother and alleged co-conspirator, was shot and killed by police shortly after the incident.

"All I can do is pray to God and hope that one day fairness will win out, our children will be cleared, and we will at least get Dzhokhar back, crippled, but at least alive," Tsarnaeva told the Associated Press.

But not all of Dzhokhar's relatives agree that they were innocent.

In a fiery interview with several reporters, Ruslan Tsarni, the uncle of the alleged suspects, said that his nephews were guilty and that they were "losers."

"Dzhokhar, if you are alive, turn yourself in and ask for forgiveness," Tsarni said. "He deserved his. He absolutely deserved his. They do not deserve to live on this earth."

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, walked without a wheelchair to speak to his mother last week for the first and only phone conversation they have had since he has been in custody, according to the Associated Press.

Anzor Tsarnaev, Dzhokhar's father, did not make any remarks reflecting whether he believes his sons were innocent or guilty.

The April 15 bombings killed three and left over 260 wounded.
