Greta Van Susteren Takes Aim At Fox News For Sexist Comments: Right Wing Pundit Erick Ericson Proceeds As Usual

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren lashed out at a few of her male colleagues on Thursday for their comments about women, but conservative radio show personality Erick Ericson seemed to ignore her.

Ericson was joined by Fox News commentators Lou Dobbs, Doug Schoen and Juan Williams on the "Lou Dobbs Tonight" panel where they discussed a recent report revealing that women are the primary breadwinners in 40 percent of American households.

Ericson, along with the other male commentators, described the statistic as "troubling."

"When you look at biology, look at the natural world, the roles of a male and a female in society, and other animals, the male typically is the dominant role," Ericson said on the show.

"The female, it's not antithesis, or it's not competing, it's a complementary role. We as people in a smart society have lost the ability to have complementary relationships in nuclear families, and it's tearing us apart."

Ericson's comments - supported by Dobbs, Schoen and Williams - struck a chord in Susteren, compelling her to write a blog post where she blasted her colleagues.

"Have these men lost their minds? (and these are my colleagues??!! oh brother... maybe I need to have a little chat with them (next thing they will have a segment to discuss eliminating women's right to vote?)" Susteren wrote on her blog the next day.

But Ericson didn't seem to get the memo.

On "The Erick Erickson Show" that same day, the right-wing media pundit did not directly mention Susteren's comments, but he went on to share his opinion about women - the same opinion that got him in trouble with Susteren to begin with.

"...I understand that some women believe they can have it all, and that's the crux of the problem," Erickson said on the program.

"I have to tell you, as a man, where women are told that men have so many more advantages in society, we can't have it all. Women, you can't have it all either. Life is a series of compromises and choices."
