Tragedy Strikes Kellie Pickler: 'Dancing With The Stars' Winner's Dad Becomes A Fugitive

"Dancing with the Stars" winner Kellie Pickler's celebration was cut short after her father, Clyde Pickler Jr., became a fugitive for violating his probation terms.

Pickler Jr., who had been living in Pasco County, Florida, reportedly left the state without notifying his probation supervisor.

Florida Department of Corrections confirmed at the country singer's father "is currently listed as an 'absconder' for allegedly traveling to North Carolina.

His probation stems from a 2003 stabbing incident which put him behind bars until he was released in 2006, right after Kellie was eliminated from season five of "American Idol."

"I never thought he wasn't a good person," confided Pickler to XfinityTV during her "Dancing with the Stars" season 16 stint.

"He has struggled with his own demons and I think we all have demons. Everyone's demon is different. My dad's just happens to be alcohol and drugs. That's definitely affected him and everyone around him, but the thing I admire about him is that he stepped back and recognized those demons and faced them."

"He is clean and sober today and doing great."

Clyde was reportedly in and out of prison due to his addictions, but prior to the fugitive status, had allegedly reconciled with his daughter.

"It's great, we're doing really well," said Kellie.

"It's been rough but right now we have the best relationship that we have ever had, to be honest."

With her father's probation, things might get strained for Kellie Pickler should he wind up in jail once again.
