Kindergarten Brawl: Police Confiscate A Hammer And Stick From Fight Between 8 Teens And Adults At Kindergarten Graduation [VIDEO]

At a kindergarten brawl, the police arrested 8 individuals after a kindergarten graduation Friday morning when a fight broke out among teenagers and adults in Cleveland, Ohio.

The kindergarten brawl occurred after a kindergarten graduation ceremony was held at Michel R. White elementary school in Cleveland. The police arrested eight teens and adults who were involved in the fight.

At the kindergarten brawl, there were no guns or shots fired, but the police did confiscate a hammer and a stick that were used in the brawl at the kindergarten graduation, according to the Cleveland school district and law enforcement authorities,

The fight took place after the graduation ceremony had ended, and no students who attended the elementary school were involved, said Roseann Canfora, district spokesperson.

The fight at the kindergarten graduation began around 11 a.m. when two rival teenage girls had an argument that led to a brawl.

According to Wayne Drummond, who is the Cleveland Police Commander, the fight between the two teenage girls spread to other adults who were attending the kindergarten graduation ceremony.

There were no injuries involved in the fight, but among the arrested are several juveniles, said Drummond. There is still no clear indication of what might have led to the brawl.

The principal of the school, Dee Sanders, declined to comment on the matter.

The eight who are arrested may be charged with aggravated rioting.

Parents who heard about this incident were frightened. One parent, Brianna Smith, who has two sons attending the grade school, said, "It makes me not want to send them for the rest of the school year. For all I know, it could get worse."

Councilman Jeff Johnson applauded the police for their quick response to the situation. The school was locked down while police cleared the scene.

The Ohio school, which is located at 1000 East 92nd Street, has students from pre-Kindergarten to the eighth grade.
