A 4-year-old Girl In Richmond Goes Missing Friday And Is Found Hiding Under Beds; 4 Steps To Take Immediately When A Child Goes Missing[VIDEO]

A 4-year-old girl in Richmond that went missing this Friday night, was in fact found under the bed in the very same house that she had disappeared in the first place. The missing girl was reported as having disappeared this Friday night while she was visiting her relatives. The little girl was found under her grandmother's bed alive and well.

Richmond police earlier that night were unable to locate 4-year-old Amieya Renee Stewart after an extensive and exhaustive search. Finally, she was found hiding under the bed. Parents and family of the little girl were relieved but apologized for causing such a stir when the girl was under the bed all along.

"She was surrounded by many different items and unfortunately had gone undetected," the Lieutenant said. She said there was were even sniff dogs in the house and she still wasn't found.

"She likes to hide a lot. The police said 'it's been a long time. She wouldn't still be hiding,'" her grandmother said. "But I'm the grandma, I know my grandbaby. I knew she was hiding."

The missing girl is now fine.  Several of the lady family members were frantically out searching for the child when they received a call that she had been found unharmed. The celebration in the video below shows a picture of what pure joy looks like.

While this missing girl under bed story was indeed alarming for the Richmond community and the public at large, no doubt, it is such a relief to have this type of news update be a positive one for the missing child and her family.

Although the family claims they did check thoroughly for the little girl, they didn't complete step three on the "Mising Child" checklist.  If they had police could have used their time on more pressing matters and the whole area would not have gone in disarray.
