Robin Thicke Blurred Lines Unrated Video: Explicit Video Features Topless Models, Fastest Selling Single In UK [WATCH HERE]

Robin Thicke’s unrated video of Blurred Lines, featuring topless models, was a Twitter sensation. It popularized the #thicke hashtag on the social network.

According to Reuters, the American R&B singer’s single also scored him his first number one British hit. The Official Charts Company said Sunday that “Blurred Lines” became the fastest selling single of 2013 in the country.

Hearing the news, Thicke told the Official Charts Company, “It is an honor and a pleasure to be number one in the UK. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of.”

The song, which features hip hop artists T.I. and Pharrell Williams, sold 190,000 copies during its first week on sale. “Blurred Lines” knocked British rapper Naughty Boy’s dance track “La La La,” into number two.

The original unrated version of “Blurred Lines” shows the three artists surrounded by topless models and caused quite a controversy when it was first released in March. It can only be found on video-sharing site Vevo.

The video is stamped with the hashtag #THICKE every few seconds.

The video has a PG-13 version available on YouTube.

While “Blurred Lines” is over three months old, it is still on number three on the iTunes Top 40 Chart, according to TheCelebrityCafe.com. The song is the lead single off of Robin Thicke’s upcoming album with the same name.

It has a unique blend of soft R&B and rap that makes it hard not to sway your hip to the beat, according to the review of Amy Lipsky at TheCelebrityCafe.com.

Speaking with the Breakfast Club, Robin Thicke explained, “I've realized as I've gotten older that we all think we're living either in a black or white world, or on a straight path, but most of us are living right inbetween those straight lines,” reports Hot New Hip Hop.
