NMIXX Haewon Is Getting Recognition For Singing Skills

Haewon, the leader and vocalist of the fourth-gen girl group NMIXX set K-pop enthusiasts' and netters' eyes and ears on her with her amazing vocals.

In particular, the idol started becoming the talk of the town when she appeared in the music talk show, "Lee Mujin Service" Episode 55 uploaded on the official YouTube channel of KBS Kpop" on March 21.

On this day, Haewon showcased her versatile vocals by singing various songs of different genres, including NMIXX's latest release, "Love Me Like This," Kwon Jin Ah's "I got lucky," Baek Yerin's "0310" and Bae Suzy x EXO Baekhyun's "Dream."

As soon as the video was uploaded, it immediately surpassed 100,000 viewers within five hours. As of the 22nd, the video already amassed more than 350k views, just a day after it was released.

In various web communities and social media platforms, Haewon's popularity is also skyrocketing, especially in the clip where she sang a series of songs requested by singer Lee Mujin impromptu.

Haewon specifically showed off her vocals by singing, Lee Mujin's "Traffic Light," IVE's "ELEVEN," NewJeans "Hype Boy," Baek Yerin's "Bye Bye My Blue," BTS's "Butter," Adam Levine's "Lost Stars," ENHYPEN's "Polaroid Love," George's "Boat" and Beyoncé's "Halo."

The reason people were acknowledging her singing talent was due to her top skills of making the song sound like her own even if it was just a cover. Haewon is also not limited to a certain genre only, but the female idol can rock any kind of song with her versatile voice!

NMIXX Returns With 'Love Me Like This'

Meanwhile, Haewon, born in 2003 and is 20 years old this year debuted in February 2022 through JYP Entertainment's group NMIXX.

On March 20, the team released its first mini-album, "expérgo," which was also marked as their first release after Jinni left the team.

The album then contains the title track, "Love Me Like This" which is a mix of street vibe's bounce rap and R&B style vocal line, arranged by the producing team LDN Noise.

Following this comeback, the hereinafter six-member group will hold their first global showcase tour "Nice to MIXX You" in May and meet fans in the U.S. and Asia in person.

Regarding this, Haewon said:

"With 'Love Me Like This,' we will try to appeal more to a broader audience with our own personality and charm. Since this song is a mixx-pop genre, we will try harder so that we can get closer to the public. In particular, I hope you sing along as the hook is addictive, and as we also have a showcase tour plan, we want to promote NMIXX in various regions."
