Korean Entertainer Explodes in Anger Over G-Dragon's Drug Controversy — 'As a friend...'

On the latest episode of Park Myung Soo's Radio Show on KBS Cool FM, aired on December 15, the TV personality and comedian addressed the recent controversy surrounding BIGBANG's G-Dragon, who has been cleared of drug allegations.

Expressing Concerns on False Reporting

During the show, broadcaster Jeon Min Ki brought up the news of G-Dragon's "no charges" disposition after being investigated for drug use. Park Myung Soo, visibly concerned, voiced his honest sentiments about the situation.

"I witnessed G-Dragon confidently undergoing the investigation. Making reports and conducting investigations without concrete evidence is the problem," Park Myung Soo stated.

He emphasized the potential significant material loss G-Dragon could suffer and questioned who would take responsibility for such damage.

Advocating for Responsible Reporting

The comedian underscored the negative impact of false reports based on unsubstantiated claims and urged for a change in reporting practices to prevent such incidents in the future.

"In the future, we must ensure that such incidents do not happen. Announcements to the media should only be made when there is accurate evidence and actual data," Park Myung Soo asserted.

He highlighted the challenges faced by those involved when rumors spread based on suspicions and urged people to consider the consequences of irresponsible reporting.

A Personal Connection with G-Dragon

Park Myung Soo concluded by sharing his personal connection with G-Dragon, as the two had collaborated on the song "Having An Affair" in the past. He expressed happiness at seeing G-Dragon resume his entertainment activities after the allegations.

"As a friend of G-Dragon who had crossed paths with him at one point, just the fact that he can resume his entertainment activities makes me happy," Park Myung Soo remarked.

Recent Developments in G-Dragon's Case

Providing context to the ongoing situation, it was revealed on December 13 that the Incheon Police Drug Crime Investigation Unit intends to conclude the investigation with a "no charges" disposition sometime the following week. Despite questioning additional witnesses and conducting drug tests, authorities failed to secure enough evidence to support the initial allegations against G-Dragon.
