This Summer for K-pop, 'Girls on Top'

Girl power has been the dominant force in the past couple of months and it looks to continue its sail through the summer.

4minute started it all. Coming back with "What's Your Name?" in late April, 4minute entered 'May'hem against fierce competition and came out the victor as the number one artist of the month.

Making an unexpected shift away from playing HyunA's 'sexy' card, 4minute was able to surprise the fans with rather cute and fun performances. 4minute is scheduled to release another song this summer to continue their momentum.

SISTAR picked up right after 4minute left off. In just two hours into their official release of Give It To Me, several of their songs broke the top 10 of all nine major music charts and took the number one spot at all nine.

Kim Ye-rim and Baek Ah Yeon both came back stronger. Kim Ye Rim's "All Right" is a close second behind Sistar. Baek Ah Yeon's  "A Good Boy" features her pure, innocent voice and looks and is projected to receive a steady amount of love from the fans.

As emphatic as the said girls have been so far in 2013, 2NE1 may top it all. 2NE1 is set to release four title songs by October before they begin their international tour.
