Top 13 K-pop Artists Reigning Billboard's World Albums Chart: SEVENTEEN, TXT, NCT DREAM, More!

For the week ending on May 18, Billboard officially unveiled the newest weekly rankings for its World Albums chart. The World Albums chart also records the most popular albums worldwide, and out of all the releases included, several K-pop artists managed to make the cut with their music releases.

Here are the 13 K-pop artists reigning the 2nd World Albums Chart for May 2024!

1.    SEVENTEEN - '17 IS RIGHT HERE'

 

SEVENTEEN claimed No. 1 on the May 18 rankings with their first-ever best-of album "17 IS RIGHT HERE." The album was also released on April 29, and its title track "Maestro" has been gaining attention across the K-pop community.

2.    TXT - 'minisode 3: TOMORROW'

 

TXT secured No. 3 on Billboard's original list with their sixth mini album "minisode 3: TOMORROW." The album was released on April 29.

3.    NCT DREAM - 'DREAM()SCAPE'

 

In Billboard's World Albums chart for May 18, NCT DREAM made their entry on the No. 4 spot with fifth mini album "DREAM()SCAPE," which was released on March 25.

4.    ILLIT - 'SUPER REAL ME'

 

ILLIT rounded the top five with their debut mini album "SUPER REAL ME," which was released on March 25. The album's title track "Magnetic" also went viral across the internet, leading to numerous dance challenges, chart achievements, and music show wins.

5.    LE SSERAFIM - 'EASY'

 

LE SSERAFIM followed in sixth place, which was claimed by the group's third mini album "EASY."

6.    BTS - 'Proof'

 

BTS released their anthology album "Proof" and title track "Yet To Come" on June 10, 2022. However, the album's longevity is evident in its consistent presence in the World Albums chart. According to Billboard, the album claimed No. 7 on the rankings.

7.    NewJeans - 'Get Up'

 

NewJeans trailed in No. 8 with their second mini album "Get Up," which was released on July 21, 2023.

8.    TWICE - 'With YOU-th'

 

TWICE secured the No. 10 with their 13th mini album 'With YOU-th."

9.    BOYNEXTDOOR - 'HOW?'

 

BOYNEXTDOOR claimed No. 11 with second mini album "HOW?"

10.  ENHYPEN - 'ORANGE BLOOD'

 

On November 17, 2023, ENHYPEN released "ORANGE BLOOD," with "Sweet Venom" as the album's title track. Since its release, the album has continued to see success in the charts. On the newest World Albums chart, the album successfully secured No. 12.

11.  Stray Kids - 'ROCK-STAR'

 

In No. 13, Stray Kids reigned with their eighth mini album "ROCK-STAR." The album was released on November 10, 2023.

12.  BTS J-Hope - 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1'

 

J-Hope's first solo special album "HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1" made it on No. 14.

13.  BTS Jimin - 'FACE'

 

The top 15 was completed by Jimin, who occupied the ranking with his solo debut album "FACE."
