RIIZE Seunghan Spotted Attending Cram School — Idol Life Over?

Netizens believe Seunghan may never return to RIIZE activities after he was spotted attending a cram school.

Ever since his debut, Seunghan has been embroiled in controversy. Netizens had uncovered photos of Seunghan with his ex-girlfriend, kissing and cuddling in a motel bed. This went against his idol image and earned backlash, with rumors even circulating that the girl was underage at the time.

Soon, photos of Seunghan smoking and going to clubs prior to his debut surfaced, leading to immense backlash over his status as a RIIZE member. While he was able to promote with RIIZE for their debut and first comeback, "Talk Saxy," he has not been active with the group since.

Ever since November 2024, Seunghan has been on an indefinite hiatus. SM Entertainment stated their intentions to submit a complaint to the police and to take further legal measures against the leakers who were spreading false information to intentionally cause misunderstandings.

Since then, Seunghan has been out of the public eye. Netizens have spotted him out and about in South Korea, walking as a regular person. Soon, rumors claimed the RIIZE member was planning to attend university, leading many to question his status as an idol.

On May 24, 2024, a post titled "Seems like RIIZE's Seunghan is really attending a cram school to retake the entrance exam" was shared with one of South Korea's most popular South Korean online community forums, Nate Pann. The poster included a photo of Seunghan out and about in the post.

He is seen wearing a simple white shirt and pants, with a large backpack over his back. The poster wondered if there were books in his bag after attending a cram school, noting how heavy his backpack looked.

Korean netizens who saw the post shared their opinions. They wondered how Seunghan must feel, having to attend cram school to enroll in university. They state that if he had never gotten embroiled in controversy, he would have become rich as an idol.

Others, however, did not show any sympathy for Seunghan. They stated that if a female idol had gone through the same scandal as Seunghan, they would never be given the same grace. Many couldn't understand why Seunghan's fans would still support him following his controversy.
